Welcome back to school! Hope everyone enjoyed their summer! We’ve got some exciting things coming up this school year!
First, I am so happy to say that we, the DYRSAA, will be hosting a regional ESP forum! Barbara Madeloni, the President of the MTA, will be here at DYHS on September 15th from 4-6pm to talk to us, and listen to us. Please consider joining the conversation! MTA benefits will be on-hand; everyone who comes gets a Dunkin’ Donuts gift card and will also be entered into a drawing for big prizes!
Dinner will be served!
We, as Education Support Professionals, have important roles in education, and MTA wants to hear what we’re doing, how we’re doing, what could be going better, what is working, etc… have your voice heard!! ESPs from around the region are invited, too! I’m thrilled and honored that Barbara is coming to the Cape, and wants to take part in this discussion!! This is something she’s done with teachers across the state, and they’ve had their concerns addressed ~ at the state level! The push for a 3-year moratorium on high-stakes testing came from these teacher forums. We have the power to have our voices heard, too! Hope you can all come! The By-Laws Committee has been busy at work this summer, amending the current by-laws for
consideration. Please watch for those changes coming later this month.
Nina Meyer has been busy creating a wonderful website for us! We’ll let everyone know as soon as it’s ready to launch!!
