Happy Easter!
I feel like I say this every month, but it’s been true… the DYRSAA has been very busy again!
The 2015 NEA Leadership Summit in Anaheim, CA was terrific! I met lots of people from around the country, I listened to interesting key note speakers, like Sir Ken Robinson (famous for his TED talks), and I participated in a facilitative leadership track that lasted the whole three days. My thanks to the MTA for sending me!
The DYRSD School Committee ratified our contract! The negotiation team is busy at work getting the new contracts made up for everyone. Pat attended the Emerging Leaders follow-up weekend. Sounds like it was a great time!
Nina and I participated in a conference call with the MTA technology department
so that we can get our new website up and running! Stay tuned for that! And thanks
again to Nina, for being our new webmaster!
I attended the first MTA ESP Crucial Conversations training in Framingham March 27-29. It was awesome! I met other ESP leaders and had a chance to network, while getting some great training! MTA will be offering this training to members in the future, and I encourage you to go!! It’s great for professional and personal conversations!
We are now looking ahead to the end of the year. We’re discussing a party for June. Suggestions and help are always appreciated! You can email any one of us, or speak to your building rep. It’s been a great school year, the DYRSAA is getting stronger every day! Thank you everyone for your support and activism.
